A Final Farewell
We have come to the end of what has certainly been a very different school year. I want to say a huge thank you and well done to you all - both parents and children for all the hard work you have put in since March. I am very proud of all the boys and girls.
I hope you all enjoyed Active Home Week and well done to those who dressed up for World Book Day. Keep sending any photos you may have and I will add them to our gallery.
I can't wait to see you all again in September. I hope you all have a wonderful summer and enjoy the break.
Take care and stay safe,
Ms. Harrington

Have a lovely week.

February Literacy Games in Junior Infants
We have been having fun trying out some different literacy games in Junior Infants. We played 'Pass the letter round' - When the music stopped we chose one letter from the magic bag and had to tell everyone what letter we got and what sound it makes. We had some fun making three letter words with magnetic letters and writing them too. Have a look at us all having fun!
The Weather Station
January's Aistear theme is The Weather Station. Children in Junior and Senior Infants tried different activities based on the theme of weather. Have a look at our weather forecasters in role at the weather station and our umbrellas for a rainy day!
Counting Games and Activities
We have been enjoying playing different counting and number games in Junior and Senior Infants this week. We played memory match, number puzzles, sorting games, seashells game and many more!
Learning about Length
This week the boys and girls have been learning all about length. We made links chains of different length and worked together in our groups to decide who made the longest or shortest chain. We had great fun!
It's Christmas Time
It's Christmas time in Junior and Senior Infants. That means Christmas art, hot chocolate and Christmas songs! We have been on our best behaviour and Santa told us that we are all on the nice list when he visited last week. Have a look at our festive art!
Phonics Games
We are busy learning our Jolly phonics sounds in Junior Infants. Here we are sorting our first set of letter sounds satipn and playing 'Roll a Sound' game. We had great fun!!
Making Maracas
Junior and Senior Infants learned about musical instruments from all over the world. We then got busy making and designing maracas using plastic bottles, rice, pasta, and beans.
Peace at Last!!
This week we have been reading the story Peace at Last. It is a lovely story about Mr. Bear who cannot get to sleep because there are too many noises disturbing him. Look at some of the cosy blankets we made for Mr.Bear in Art during the week.
Halloween In Infants
We had great fun in the infant classroom for Halloween. We dressed up for our annual 'Witches Walk on Wednesday' and made some spooky pumpkins in Art. Beware of the witches, skeletons, vampires, superheroes and scary princesses.
